Hair from thinning or bald areas of the scalp can be restored by excising these areas and covering with a flap of hair –bearing scalp from an adjacent area.  The defect from the donor area is sutured together.  A second minor excision of the “dogear”  at the base of the transposed flap is done on the second week.  This procedure immediately results in fuller and thicker hair in just two to three weeks.
