Rhinoplasty

Reshaping of the nose can be done by enhancing the different parts of the nose such as: the bridge, tip, alae or wings, the nasal bones.  Careful analysis and correction of these features will result in an attractive yet natural-looking nose.

·        Alarplasty

Reshaping of the bridge of the nose can be done either by augmentation or reduction.  The former is done to raise the bridge of the nose using implants or autografts (cartilage or bone.)  This is best done after the growth spurt (girls 15-16 years old; boys 16-17 years old.)

A plaster mold is taken from the pateint's nose from which a suitable size and shape of implant is carefully and meticulously carved.  This ensures that the implant will not move upon manipulation after the operation.

· It often includes reducing the size of the alae and
removing the “overhanging” part of the alae.

   ·        Reshaping the size and shape of the nostrils.

Narrowing the broad or protruding bones at the sides of the nose can be  done by “infracture”.  The bones are fractured so that they can be repositioned inwards to create a narrower and thinner nose.
